Making money on social media platforms is important because it brings more users to the platform. This as a result  means that there are more people accessing posts from brands and therefore and as a result means brands can make more money. For example, Epic Games promote their posts on Instagram for their game updates, which means they maximise profit by having more users view their posts. Also, this can also lead to more traffic onto their website and an increase in revenue.

 

2) Identify and explain two of how social media tools have allowed media professionals to collaborate. Use example to support your answer.

 

Social media posts have allowed professionals to collaborate through tagging because one professional can make a post and can include another professional or relevant accounts by tagging them in the posts. Tagging allows audiences to look at the account and see the content they post. For example, Adele made a post showing off her latest shows and used tagging to include her photographer of the event. This allows fans to look at the photographers work and for their audience to grow.

Also, companies can collaborate on websites like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook through their instant messaging services. This also allows companies to plan out social media posts and share ideas. This means both companies can succeed and build relationships with other companies and their audiences.

Using social media metrics like social blade allow companies to review the interactions and growth of a project, which allows them to have a better understanding of their audiences wants and needs. Also, tools like GetSpotlyte.com allow companies the campaign content in one place.

Companies can promote job roles such as a camera man which allow for them to expand their teams.

Companies can source high level media personnel which leads to improved content for their TV programme. As a result of improved content, the show and social media sites of the companies will exponentially grow with the programme.



6) Capital FM use Instagram to promote guest appearances on the show  so the audience can view sneak peaks of conversations and create excitement.

Capital FM also use Twitter to announce competitions and events such as their Jingle bell ball. This is to ensure as many people are aware as possible and creates as much revenue as possible.
