LO2: Social TV and Second Screening

Alka Marwaha- 'Watching Tv is increasingly integrated with Social networking via screens such as smart TV, smartphones, tablets and laptops. This allows people to watch TV, films and online videos and chat about them together regardless of their geographic location.'

Love Island:

Love island producers encourage viewers to vote via the app to voice their opinions on their favourite couples. In the app they show competitions as well as merchandise. 

On Instagram, @loveisland would post updates of the show as well as competitions the they wanted people to enter. As well as competitions, they announced that applications for next years show are open.
